This year held several milestones for our family personally. Caleb will graduate from college Dec. 19 and start his career as a personal trainer. Abigail was married in August and continues her college studies in education, and Miriam started college in August at North Greenville University majoring in Intercultural Studies and playing on the golf team. We experienced the “empty nest” for the first time. However, we haven’t been home much since August, so it still seems surreal.
NoPlaceLeft (Rom. 15:23) continues to grow in the States and globally as men and women catch the vision to share the Gospel in their communities until there is no place left that hasn’t heard the story of Jesus Christ. Currently, there are 73 cities in the U.S. and 91 countries around the world who have NoPlaceLeft teams working diligently to expand the Kingdom. For our part in this move of God, we have been training churches, organizations, and individuals in recognizing the relationships God has given them to show them with whom they can share the Gospel, how to share their testimonies and the Gospel, and how to begin basic discipleship so new believers are taught “to obey all that [He] has commanded” (Mt. 28:18-20). These trainings have taken us across the U.S., throughout North Carolina and to Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, California, and Washington State. Internationally, we have conducted trainings in Ecuador, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, and South Asia. There are many other trainers whom we work alongside and who are being raised up city-to-city who are expanding the breadth of the trainings and encouraging Jesus’ Bride to share His Story. Considering the trainings involving e3 Partners Ministry alone this past year, over 10,647 believers have been trained, over 3,742 people have been baptized, and churches have been planted to the 2nd and 3rd generation (churches who have planted churches who have planted churches) via e3 workers and partners; we can’t even imagine the impact of NPL because e3 is just a tiny part of NPL! Thirty-one new cities were engaged across the U.S. via swarm training - a group of volunteers made up of businesspeople, students, professionals, etc. who train others. This type of training raises the level of leadership as responsibility is given to train others and model how to share the Gospel, disciple, and gather new believers. Four new missionaries were sent to South Asia via e3 Partners’ partnership with the International Mission Board, and there are more in the pipeline to go in 2017. The vision is to send 50 over the next three years.
Several years ago, when we started this journey in Bugger Hollow, it seemed it took weeks and months before seeing a few people come to Christ here and there and a few homes open to the Gospel and discipleship. But NOW! Wow! We receive texts, emails, and stories from Facebook of people coming to Christ daily throughout the NoPlaceLeft network. Recently, while we were training 40 folks in Charlotte, a picture was sent to us of a 3rd generation believer baptizing and beginning to disciple 3 new 4th generation believers in Florida. We hear stories daily, and it is so encouraging how God is moving the hearts of His people to go back and rediscover how to disciple people into obedience of all of Christ’s commands. We know e3 Partners reports 3,742 baptisms last year, but we know the impact across the whole NPL network was much, much greater! It is so exciting to see people volunteering to push to No Place Left! May it be that all may hear from someone’s mouth to their ear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have an opportunity to be discipled into obedience to all that Jesus commanded.
We are involved in training and coaching those who are reaching a new UUPG (unengaged unreached people group) in South Asia who has never been reached with the Gospel. We have been waiting 10 years to reach this particular tribe that lives in a rural place, far from any city. They are coming to Christ, being baptized, and planting churches from village to village. They have no Bible but have composed a handful of songs in their language that tell of the past (hunting) and how they met Jesus and their lives were changed.
We have felt that 2017 was a year of prayer and preparation, and many across the NoPlaceLeft coalition have prayed, fasted, and sought God’s direction as we expect 2018 to be the year of movement, seeing God work and move as He raises His Army and builds His Kingdom. In anticipation, the goals for NoPlaceLeft are to see 100,000 believers trained, 1 million Gospel shares, 20 new UUPGs engaged in US cities, and 20 NoPlaceLeft training centers formed in strategic cities this upcoming year. Personally, we will be criss-crossing the U.S. hitting 40 cities to train and coach NPL teams, as well as traveling to Greece, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Sweden, England, Ireland, and South Asia.
You have played an integral role in what is happening across the globe as our partners in prayer and support. We appreciate your prayers on our behalf because we live in the answers to those prayers! Please don’t stop but continue to pray for wisdom, insight, safety in travel, clarity in training, receptivity for trainees, people to accept Jesus as Lord, disciples to multiply, and for churches to plant churches. Thank you!
As you can imagine, traveling as much as we do is expensive. Typically, Jeff has been the main one to travel. However, with an empty nest now, Angie is also traveling and training alongside him. If you would like to give a year-end, tax-deductible gift toward our ministry or travel expenses, you can do so with a debit or credit card here. Thank you!
